Food & Beverage Service
This programme aims to equip students a strong foundation for working effectively in Front of House service environment and Banquet operations in 4 weeks. Students can expect to do rotations of 1 week (5 days) classroom training at the Academy and 4 weeks (2 days) of Apprenticeship.
The WSQ Advanced Certificate in Food Services (Culinary Arts) is a 6 months programme under the new SkillsFuture Framework for Food Services, a study and work pedagogy that allows students to study the fundamental to advanced skills and knowledge of culinary arts. There are 18 skill standards in this programme.
The WSQ Advanced Certificate in Food Services (Pastry and Baking) is a 6 months programme under the new SkillsFuture Framework for Food Services, a study and work pedagogy that allows students to study the fundamental to advanced skills and knowledge of pastry and baking. There are 14 skill standards in this programme.
This programme aims to equip and train students from basic to higher level skills in Food and Beverage Culinary Arts in 3 months. This programme allows you to learn how to make large variety of Asian and Western cuisine dishes such as meat, poultry, seafood, sauces, stocks, curries, breads and rice dishes.
This programme aims to equip and train students from basic to higher level skills in Food and Beverage Pastry and Baking in 3 months. You will have the opportunity to learn a wide range of baking techniques - from the fundamentals to the higher level of Eastern & Western cuisines.
The Digital Teaching and Learning Future of Culinary Education
TL123 is designed to help students acquire and utilise deep skills through innovation and digital capabilities.
There are 3 progressive timed stages in Teaching and Learning 1,2,3 approach.
Build up theoretical knowledge with an at least 1 hour theory eLearning session and materials accessible from our online Learning Management System.
Consists an at least 2 hours of physical hands-on lessons by our trained and experienced faculty instructors for students to learn firsthand the intricate culinary skills and techniques required.
Lead one another in an at least 3 hour peer learning and peer teaching session to utilize the skills and techniques they mastered in TL2. Record the PeerChef process for future reference after the class ends.
